April - November
MIC Lecture Series

From April to November each year, the Lecture Series presents talks by regional experts about the Moab region's fascinating past and present, places and people, wildlife, plants, dinosaurs and more! Talks generally begin at 6:00 P.M. and are FREE to the public. Lectures are co-sponsored by the Museum of Moab. September 4th - October 31st
"Points of View" Art Exhibit

The Bighorn Gallery at Dead Horse Point State Park is proud to showcase new paintings of the desert southwest by Moab artists Sandi Snead and Margie Lopez Read. “Points of View” reveals the way these artists see and interpret the world. David DaVinci – Thrillusionist

Suspend your disbelief with the magic of Thillusionist David DaVinci, as he introduces you to his augmented reality. Prepare to be mystified by mind-boggling illusions and jaw dropping magic, seamlessly fused with exotic parrots that materialize from thin air. Catch this Las Vegas style show at the David DaVinci Theater, located inside of Canyonlands by Night at the north end of Moab, every Friday & Saturday evening at 9pm through October 13th. Moab Backyard Theater
Great entertainment in a relaxed outdoor setting beneath a big cottonwood tree just a few steps off Main Street. The performances are always unique, affordable and entertaining. Outerbike Fall 2017
Test ride all of the latest and greatest bikes and gear on the world-class trails of Moab, Utah. For three to four days, the world’s premier bike and gear manufacturers set up at the Outerbike expo site. You can browse the latest innovations, pick a bike you’d like to try and take it for a ride. Red Rock Arts Festival

Moto Mayhem

Moto Mayhem was created with the sole intention of bringing an affordable, family-orientated, arena "Enduro-X" style racing series to the communities. As racing parents; we are directly responsible for the next generation of caring and respectful children and racers. We strongly believe that when a child is shown how a caring, community-driven group of people interacts with one another, they are more likely to become a productive part of the same and other communities. First Annual Moab ArtTrails Sculpture Exhibition

Art Walk

The Other Half

Stunning redrock and mountain views accompany you along the Colorado River at the 14th annual The Other Half 13.1 mile run in Moab. Moab Senior Games
The Moab Senior Games is dedicated to bringing and promoting fitness activities for adults ages 50 to 100 to Moab for physical competition. This event is held throughout Moab and typically has 8 games that are played in a four day span. For more info visit or call 435-260-0161.

I Am Not Your Negro offers an incendiary snapshot of James Baldwin's crucial observations on American race relations -- and a sobering reminder of how far we've yet to go. 7 pm @ Star Hall 159 E. Moab Ho Down Mountain Bike Festival

There is no better way to round out your mountain biking year than at this mountain biking fundraiser! Festivities include Enduro Race, Jump Jam, Movie Night, Group Rides, Skills Camps, Townie Tour, and Huge Costume Party with live music. Moab Endurance Ride

Day of the Dead Festival
During this one-day event and fundraiser, The MVMC’s yard is transformed into a colorful and traditionally decorated cemetery to honor our deceased loved ones. There will be delicious authentic food, kids activities, face painting, cultural information, music, and dancing! You don’t want to miss this fun festival that many consider Moab’s cultural event of the year! 1-5 pm at the Moab Valley Multicultural Center (156N 100W). Moab Folk Camp

Experience a community of music and song in the spectacular red rock country of southeastern Utah. We offer a supportive environment where adults can experience the joy of making music and learning new skills in a caring environment. Moab Folk Festival
The Moab Folk Festival is a 3 day live music Festival featuring 12 folk, Americana and roots musicians. The Festival has intimate venues, a quality lineup and amazing red rock scenery. Scots on the Rocks
A Celtic event displaying Scottish, Irish, and Welsh heritages. At this festival there will be highland dancing competition, pipe and drum competition, pipe band completion along with heavy athletics. There will be many clans showing off their heritage. Moab Trail Marathon, 1/2 Marathon, and Adventure 5k. Plus Kids K.

National Park Service Fee Free Days
The Southeast Utah Group of the National Park Service (Arches and Canyonlands national parks and Hovenweep and Natural Bridges national monuments) is joining national parks across the country in waiving entrance fees several days in 2017 as a way to encourage people to get outdoors and spend time with their friends and family in the national parks this year.

November 18
Dead Horse Ultra
Dead Horse was created to feature the Magnificent Seven Trails off of Gemini Bridges. The course will challenge you with technical slickrock and sandy washes and has great views of Arches National Park, the La Sal Mountains and the Moab Valley. For more info visit or call 719-429-9501.
