April - November
MIC Lecture Series

From April to November each year, the Lecture Series presents talks by regional experts about the Moab region's fascinating past and present, places and people, wildlife, plants, dinosaurs and more! Talks generally begin at 6:00 P.M. and are FREE to the public. Lectures are co-sponsored by the Museum of Moab. July 2nd - September 3rd
'Desert Whispers' Photography Exhibit by Chad Dutson
Wilderness photographer Chad Dutson returns to the Bighorn Gallery at Dead Horse Point State Park with another compelling exhibit, Desert Whispers. The exhibit features diverse perspectives of landscapes in the Desert Southwest in thirty-six images, most of them being released to the public for the first time. David DaVinci – Thrillusionist

Suspend your disbelief with the magic of Thillusionist David DaVinci, as he introduces you to his augmented reality. Prepare to be mystified by mind-boggling illusions and jaw dropping magic, seamlessly fused with exotic parrots that materialize from thin air. Catch this Las Vegas style show at the David DaVinci Theater, located inside of Canyonlands by Night at the north end of Moab, every Friday & Saturday evening at 9pm through October 13th. August 5
Sex & Broadcasting
Chronicles WFMU, the scrappy, chaotic, and iconoclastic community radio station in New Jersey. The film is described by the filmmakers as "an American tale of life, liberty and independent radio." In an opening scene, General Manager Ken Freedman is on the air and delivers what amounts to a manifesto. Moab’s own scrappy, community radio station KZMU was founded on similar principles as WFMU. After the screening, audience members can interact with panelists during a discussion on the relevance and importance of community radio today and where it’s headed in the future. Panelists include Freedman, Sally Kane – Chief Executive Officer of the National Federation for Community Broadcasters, and more. Star Hall @ 7 PM. Free Film: MOONLIGHT
A look at three defining chapters in the life of Chiron, a young black man growing up in Miami. Winner: Best Motion Picture of the Year- 2017 Academy Awards Rated R 7 pm @ Star Hall 157 E. National Park Service Fee Free Days
The Southeast Utah Group of the National Park Service (Arches and Canyonlands national parks and Hovenweep and Natural Bridges national monuments) is joining national parks across the country in waiving entrance fees several days in 2017 as a way to encourage people to get outdoors and spend time with their friends and family in the national parks this year.


August 31-September 11
25th Moab Music Festival
Every September, the award-winning Moab Music Festival brings world-class musicians to stunning red rock venues around Moab, Utah for a feast of chamber music, jazz, Latin and traditional music concerts. Blazer Bash

Dancing with the MOAB Stars
Cheer on Moab Stars as they dance with a local dance instructor in a friendly dance competition based on the popular TV Show Dancing with the Stars. This fundraiser for the Moab Valley Multicultural Center has been a sold out show every year- so be sure to get your tickets early! Mother of all Boogies
14th annual Mother of all Boogies invites skydivers from all over the world to converge on beautiful Moab for 4 full days of high altitude skydiving from turbine aircraft! Non-skydivers are welcome as spectators and will have the opportunity to make a tandem skydive during the event. Moab Century Tour
