Between Dream and Reality by Patrick Paul René
The ethereal art of French self-taught photographer Patrick Paul René makes its debut at the Bighorn Gallery. A resident of Moab, the artist first set eyes on the American Southwest more than three decades ago. Through a palette of pseudo “paintings,” the artist presents fresh interpretations of subjects that have long enchanted visitors to the area. First Day Hike
Join the hundreds of thousands of people all across the country who are starting off the New Year by taking a hike! At Dead Horse Point, we will undertake a three-mile round-trip journey to the remote Bighorn Overlook. Meet at the visitor center at 1:00pm. Weather and snow conditions are hard to predict, but make sure to dress warm and bring comfortable hiking boots! Moab Music Festival Winterlude Concert at Dead Horse Point State Park

As part of the Moab Music Festival's Winterlude event, join us Wednesday, February 8 at NOON for a free concert featuring the University of Utah's Michie Graduate String Quartet at the Dead Horse Point State Park visitor center. A light lunch and optional guided trail walk (1mi. round trip) will follow. A free shuttle is available from Swanny Park - seating is limited. Quilting in the Red Rocks Quilt Show
The 9th Biennial Quilting in the Red Rocks will showcase approximately 200 quilted items, including antique, traditional and art quilts as well as wearable art and quilted home decor. Moab Rocks Mountain Bike Stage Race

Moab Rocks takes some of the regions best classic and new routes including Klondike, Porcupine Rim and Mag 7 and combines them into a 3-day masterpiece of xc and timed descents in a fully supported format. All this wrapped up in a fun and friendly atmosphere combining camaraderie and competition. Fallen Peace Officer Trail Ride
This event is open to the public. This is a ride to honor 14 officers who have died in Utah. These 14 officers are from around the state and we honor current and past officers. Adventure Xstream Moab Adventure Race
The 17th annual AXS Moab Adventure Race kicks off in Moab on April 22nd, 2017. This is one of the most spectacular venues in the series and certainly a racer favorite. Mountain bike through the canyons on jeep roads and some of Moab's epic single track trails. Kayaks through the canyon on the Colorado River, and rappel down a breath taking 300' cliff.
